Within Glacier, is one of the largest intact ecosystems in the lower forty eight. We will take a spectacular path of travel when we bike the Going-to-the-Sun Highway, which traverses the park east to west. On this highway we climb famous Logan Pass with its spectacular views of waterfalls, cliffs and snow-capped mountains. We will probably see mountain goats and mountain sheep on this road. Abundant and diverse wildlife should be seen on this trip.

We bike through the largest natural habitat of black bears in the U.S. On our June 2002 trip we counted an unusually large number of black bears (11) in only one day. Later in the trip we also saw brown bear.

Great hiking is available on this trip. We will hike to and bike past an area teeming with mountain lakes, waterfalls and streams. In one of the nations leading outdoor adventure magazines, Glacier National Park was voted #1 national park overall in the United States. Glacier also ranked #1in scenery, #1 in hiking trips, and #3 in wildlife viewing.

We will also bike into Waterton National Park in Canada and spend our off day there hiking, mountain biking, shopping, horseback riding, boat riding, or just relaxing enjoying the views.
